I specialise in providing a safe, calm environment for women to birth in. I hold a small case load which means more time with each family I care for.

I qualified as a nurse in 1987 and a midwife in 1989. I took time out to have a family of my own, returning to midwifery in 2002.  I then worked for 3 years as a midwife in a birth centre, caring for women wanting straightforward birth. (See my statistics)

I am married and a mother of two children, one born by caesarean and one vaginal birth after caesarean (V.B.A.C.). When I have free-time I enjoy camping, live music and tending my allotment. Sometimes I get the chance to read a fiction book!
