My Statistics

My statistics are for the period November 2002 to October 2005 when I worked in a NHS midwifery-led unit. Unfortunately I did not keep statistics from when I was a midwife from February 1988 to December 1990, or when I did my return to midwifery experience, so my numbers are small.

Although classified as “low risk”, women in my statistics include a 36week gestation baby, 1 breech vaginal birth, 1 woman with polyhydramnios & 1 VBAC (vaginal birth after caesarean), I downs syndrome baby, mothers with a BMI over 30, teenage and “older” mothers.

The one forceps was for severe fetal distress.

My statistics when I worked in hospital are better than the National average and better than the outcomes in the hospital where I worked! check www.drfoster.co.uk/localservices/birthGuide.asp  for comparison.

I am currently compiling statistics of my Independent clients.
